Children's Services

Summit DD Board provides services and supports in a variety of ways to families of children who have developmental delays and disabilities from birth to age 22. Children from 12 months to age 5 with and without special needs can receive child care and developmental support at the innovative and inclusive Calico Child Care Center. Children from birth to age three can receive early intervention services and supports in their natural environments, in their homes or other integrated community-based settings. Services can include consultative support from professionals such as Early Intervention Specialists who are Developmental Specialists as well as Speech/Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Vision Specialists, as needed.
Families of children ages 3 through 22 who have developmental disabilities and are board eligible can receive
service coordination and support from our Services and Supports Administration Department.
The mission of the Children’s Services Department is that “all children served have opportunities to participate in educational services and supports in integrated community settings consistent with best practices.”
