Service & Support Administration (SSA)
Service and Support Administration (SSA) is a set of Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) mandated functions to be provided by the Summit DD. Persons eligible for SSA include individuals three years of age or older who request SSA services and persons served receiving home and community-based services. Summit DD Board may provide SSA services to other individuals upon special request.
Service and Support Administration functions include:
• Establishes the eligibility for Summit DD services;
• Assesses individual needs for services;
• Develops and monitors individual service plans with the active
participation of the person served;
• Establishes budgets based upon assessed needs;
• Assists in the selection of providers to deliver services & supports;
• Ensures that services are effectively delivered and coordinated;
• Provides for quality assurance monitoring for services and supports;
• Ensures each person served has a designated advocate for daily
representation
Other SSA duties and functions include:
• Supporting individuals in determining and pursuing goals;
• Maintaining the individual as the focus while coordinating services
across multiple systems
• Assisting with service linkage and coordination;
• Single Point of Accountability;
Service and Support Administration shall be provided in accordance with rules adopted under section 5126.08 of the Revised Code.
