Motor Skills: We’ve got Babies on the Move!

During the first year of life, babies go from being unable to hold their heads up to moving all around! Building motor skills is all about babies learning to move against gravity. First babies hold their heads. Other movement includes, rolling in both directions, sitting, moving in and out of sitting, moving in and out of hands and knees, crawling on hands and knees, pulling to stand, cruising, standing independently, and then taking their first steps. Setting Records for Special Olympics

The Summit DD Staff versus Special Olympics Basketball fundraiser raised at record-breaking $3,683 this year! Beating out the 2023 event by over $1,200. We had more spectators, more community raffle donations, and more total funds raised than any other year. The Special Olympics Weaver Warriors defeated the Summit DD team in a fun, fast-paced game with a final score of 77-75! Watch the exciting highlight video below and check out the photo slideshow!
