10:30 – Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence (OCALI)
OCALI stands as a model agency for inspiring change and promoting access for people with disabilities. Home to twelve distinct centers and three world-class online learning portals, OCALI is at the forefront of equipping parents, professionals, and educators with the tools necessary to help people with disabilities live quality lives. Our Audiology clinic provides comprehensive audiologic evaluations as well as hearing aid and hearing assistive technology evaluations, fittings, troubleshooting and repair services. Today’s presentation will demonstrate current hearing aid technology and its connectivity to smart phones and other hearing assistive devices. Presenter: Kathern L. Sigal Papp, Au.D.
11:30 – Ohio State University, Assistive Technology of Ohio
Technology can help people of all ages succeed in school, achieve in the workplace, and live more independent and interconnected lives. Learn more about what Ohio State’s Assistive Technology of Ohio is doing to support the use of assistive technology in Ohio. Presenter: Bill (William) T. Darling, Ph.D.
12:00-1:00 – Hearts for Music (musical performance)
Hearts For Music, a non-profit created to provide those with disabilities find a place to create music as an ensemble. Our Special Needs Orchestra musicians manipulate and utilize a combination of keyboards, digital devices such as iPad and acoustic instruments to perform wide range of songs ranging from well-known classical symphonies to present day popular music. You don’t want to miss this!

1:30 – Cleveland Sight Center
Cleveland Sight Center colleagues will demonstrate how Meta Smart glasses impact people with vision loss. They will show examples of the difference between low and high technology. Presenters: Barbara Piascik and Nathan Kottler
2:00 – Ohio Technology First
The Ohio Technology First initiative’s mission is to help people with developmental disabilities live, work, and thrive in their communities through the use of technology including Remote Support Services. The initiative’s goals include: Increasing safety, independence, and control, meeting the needs of families, providers, and direct support professionals, and increasing the use of technology across the lifespan. Presenter: Britta Hough
