NDEAM Symposium – October 29, 2024
The Employment Collaborative of Summit County is a Summit DD supported collaboration consisting of Summit DD, local businesses and disability providers. The members of the collaborative work toward one common goal: to increase employment opportunities for people with barriers to employment. They seek to provide support to both job seekers and businesses.
In honor of National Disabilities Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), the Employment Collaborative will be hosting its 6th Annual NDEAM Symposium on Oct. 29 at House Three-Thirty from 9:00am-3:00pm.

During the event, attendees will:
- Discover the “Get Ready” phase of the employment process. This stage emphasizes the importance of understanding the unique experiences and challenges faced by families on getting ready for employment, what to expect, and how it happened.
- Discover “Get Set.” This stage focuses on how job developers work through getting things ready for the interview, meeting employers. ready to meet employers.
- Discover “Go.” This stage of the process looks at how job coaches provide hands on practices and handles various situations that can happen when job coaching.
- Hear from an actual team. They will share the entire Get Ready, Get Set & Go process.
- There will also be a question and answer session at the end of the event.
