Claire Veppert, SSA

“Before coming to Summit DD, I worked with Redoak Behavioral Health for the last year, and prior to that, I spent a year with Summit County Children Services. I am looking forward to the work environment that I have heard nothing but good things about, as well as the opportunity to better the lives of my clients and those around me. In my personal time, I love being active and traveling! I love hiking, working out, playing pickleball, and exploring new countries! I also spend a lot of time with my dachshund, Alex.” – Claire Veppert, SSA

Melinda Silliman, Behavior Support SSA

“Before Summit DD, I worked as an SSA at the Medina County Board of DD. Prior to that I worked for Alternative Paths which is a community mental health agency in Medina as a Young Adult Case Manager. I have a passion with helping individuals and working with them to make their lives better. I am looking forward to seeing the individuals I work with grow and make positive changes. I am a Special Olympics Track & Field coach as well as a Softball Coach. I used to be an athlete in college, and I am happy to be able to give back in this way. I have a 23-year-old son, Bryant and a 19-year-old daughter, Evelyn. They are both in the Air Force as reservist. Currently, Evelyn is finishing up her training in Mississippi. I also have a corgi, named Beau who gets into everything but so adorable he gets away with it.  As well as a miniature Schnauzer, Harlow, who is my cuddle bug.” – Melinda Silliman, Behavior Support SSA

Lucas Brady, SSA

“I previously worked at Victim Assistance Program in Akron. Prior to my work as a victim advocate, I worked as a juvenile detention officer at the Summit County Juvenile Court. I am looking forward to the connections I will make with the people that Summit DD serves as well as with my coworkers. I am excited to assist in changing people’s lives for the better. I live with my boyfriend and our 2 cats. My main hobbies include playing video games, traveling to new places, cooking, and watching movies. The horror genre is my favorite, and I love all of its various media formats (games, movies, books, etc.). I also go to anime conventions with my friends, which I have done since I was 12 years old!” – Lucas Brady, SSA

Michelle Garcia, SSA

“Before joining Summit DD, I was a Multi System Youth & Family Regional Coach at OCALI. Prior to that, I was a Service Support Administrator at Mahoning County Board of DD. At Summit DD, I look forward to getting to know and serve my clients and families, being apart of a positive work environment with supportive colleagues, and opportunities to learn and grow in my skills! In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughters, family, and friends. My children are active in different sports, so it is always fun to watch and cheer them on! I am an active member in my church and involved in ministry. I love spending time in God’s presence; worshiping and growing in my faith. I also enjoy being involved in community events, taking trips, watching movies, and walking.” – Michelle Garcia, SSA

Chelsea Scelza, SSA

“Before coming to Summit DD, I worked at Tallmadge Elementary School as a Paraprofessional for the MD room. At Summit, I am looking forward to meeting all the staff members and connecting with the community. Experiencing a new work environment. Becoming part of a team and making a positive impact on the Agency. And the potential for professional growth and development. In my personal time, I love being with my friends and family, being active by hiking or walking my dog, Riggins, and cheering on all Cleveland Sports teams!” – Chelsea Scelza, SSA

Cody Bauer, Investigative Agent

“Before coming to Summit DD, I worked at the Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities. At Summit DD, I am looking forward to collaborating with my colleagues and getting to know/supporting the individuals served by the Agency. In my personal time I am a father to my 3 sons (Levi, Luca, and Leland) as well as a husband to my wife, Juli. We enjoy spending time with family and friends, camping, boating, and spending time outdoors.” – Cody Bauer, Investigative Agent

Jennifer Brady, Behavior Support SSA

“Before joining the Summit DD team, I most recently worked as a Behavior Therapist at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Autism for 2 years, and before that I worked as a Behavior Specialist at Prentiss Autism Center for 6 years. I look forward to serving the community and working with my team members to create epic changes in the lives of those we are lucky enough to give assistance to. In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and animals. I also love to rock climb, hike, and travel!” – Jennifer Brady, Behavior Support SSA
