Summit DD and Akron Municipal Court Launch New Support Program
Summit DD believes in meeting people where they are. We have a long history of supporting people based on each person’s individual needs. There are instances where a person with a disability may need support through a legal process, to make sure they understand the situation and ensure they receive the proper support to put them on the right path going forward. Summit DD Superintendent to Retire, Board Names Successor
Summit County Developmental Disabilities Board today named current Assistant Superintendent, Lisa Kamlowsky, as the Agency’s top executive effective January 1, 2022. Today’s announcement comes after Summit DD Superintendent, John Trunk, last month announced his retirement effective December 31, 2021.
“There is no one more prepared to build on the successes of the past and to guide this amazing team into the future than Lisa,” said Tom Quade, Summit DD Board President. “She has the full confidence of the Board and of her leadership team,” Quade added. DD Awareness Month 2021
March DD Awareness Month is just around the corner. While a lot has changed since last DD Awareness Month, our desire to shine a light on people of all abilities has not. The pandemic may keep us from gathering, but it can’t keep us from connecting.
