The Autism Society of Greater Akron (ASGA) in partnership with Summit County Public Health and the Akron Children’s Museum, will be hosting a disability accessible COVID Vaccine Clinic as part of their Step Into Autism Walk on June 18 at Lock 3.
FREE Vaccine Clinic Open to All Eligible Children and Adults
“ASGA is pleased to announce that it is working with two fantastic partners to offer a free Disability Accessible COVID Vaccine Clinic for anyone interested in receiving the shot at the event, including the booster,” shared Executive Director of ASGA, Laurie Cramer.
Summit County Public Health (SCPH) will have its vaccine team on hand to administer the shots or boosters. Additionally, the Akron Children’s Museum will offer FREE admission to those who get a shot.
The clinic is free and open to the public. Registration for the clinic (available from 9:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. ) is encouraged to avoid wait time, but not required. Walk-ins accepted from 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m., as appointment availability permits. (*Registration for the Step Into Autism Walk is not required to take part in the vaccine clinic.)
The Disability Accessible Vaccine Clinic is made possible in part by funding from the Autism Society of America, which received grants from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Hussman Foundation and sponsors of the Step Into Autism event.
