At Summit DD, a prominent goal of our Long Range Plan is to empower an engaged workforce that achieves the best outcomes for people we support. We work towards this goal by offering ambassador and networking opportunities to employees throughout the year. We would like to proudly announce, that one of our Service and Support Administrators (SSA), Vincent Taylor, was recently accepted into Leadership Akron’s Signature Class 36.
According to Leadership Akron, for over 35 years they’ve inspired participants to advance their involvement and impact as community leaders. In keeping with that mission, they’ve selected a class of 40 local leaders for their 2019/2020 Signature Program. Over the year long program, the class will spend a full day each month focused on a sector of the community, in an immersive, experiential atmosphere exposing them to organizations, top decision-makers, and challenges within that sector. Upon graduation, the class will be poised with new knowledge and connections to further empower their service to the community.
“I’m honored and very excited to be invited to participate in the Leadership Akron Signature Class 36! I’m always looking for opportunities to contribute to the Akron community and as an ambassador of Summit DD I will use this opportunity to discover new ways our organization can continue to lead in the betterment of our community,” shared Vincent Taylor, Summit DD SSA.
“We are proud to have Vincent representing Summit DD in the Signature Class. We are confident that Vincent’s dedication to Summit DD and his community will allow him to be a wonderful representative for our Agency and to build relationships with our community partners. Thank you, Vincent, for your willingness to participate in this exemplary program!” commented Danyelle Conner, Summit DD Director of Human Resources.
Vincent will be joining fellow professionals from greater Akron’s business, government, and non-profit sectors. Including: Summa Health, PNC Bank, Akron Area YMCA, International Soap Box Derby, Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, Tallmadge City Schools, and more.
Summit DD will continue to offer ambassador and networking opportunities to our valuable staff in order to cultivate a diverse and inspired team, while ensuring they have the knowledge, skills, and tools to meet and exceed the expectations of those we support.
