A person’s path to employment can be complex, especially for those with disabilities. Summit DD understands that while some people are ready to jump right into the workforce, others may want to learn more about concepts and expectations before taking the next step. To meet people where they are, Summit DD’s Community Supports and Development team partnered with the local day program provider, Teammates to offer a program called Employment Engagement. Summit DD and Akron Municipal Court Launch New Support Program
Summit DD believes in meeting people where they are. We have a long history of supporting people based on each person’s individual needs. There are instances where a person with a disability may need support through a legal process, to make sure they understand the situation and ensure they receive the proper support to put them on the right path going forward.
