Event Description
Join Summit DD, the City of Akron and The Children’s Museum for some winter fun at this year’s Winterblast. Summit DD will have special holiday helpers available to assist families with sensory sensitivities as they enjoy activities from 10am-1pm on Saturday, December 3rd at 10 a.m.
- 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.: Sensory Hour –
A quieter, less crowded environment while enjoying Winterblast activities - 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Concession Pancake Breakfast Buffet
(additional $8 for preregistered participants and $12 at the event) - 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Summit DD-Supported Activities – Visit with Santa and get a gift, decorate cookies, ice skate (includes ice aides and an adaptive ice sled), visit Archie the Snowman, play shuffleboard or Polar Putt-Putt – the Inclusioneers Mobile Sensory Bus will be available if you need a break from the activities and Summit DD will be there to assist if needed
- 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.: Winterblast Activities –
Enjoy all Winterblast activities (open to the public all season long)

Reservations are required (via Eventbrite) by November 30, 2022. Please visit the Eventbrite link or use the QR code in the downloadable flier to sign up. Free access to activities for the first 200 families.
