As part of Child and Family Awareness Month, Summit County Children Services along with Child Care Connection will be hosting a parent training event focused on literacy and learning! Join Summit DD’s CPI Inclusion Manager Lynette White and Akron Public Library Early Childhood Specialist Laura McFalls as they help parents discover how to help their children build a solid foundation for reading and school success. The event will have engaging, hands-on situations that will help build literacy skills such as letter awareness, rhyming and language development. Snacks, door prizes and books will be provided. This event is free, but space is limited to 35 families and children must be at least age 3 to participate. To make a reservation to attend, call Summit County Children Services at 330-379-2090.
