Event Description
Driving with a Disability
The Transition Bootcamp series provides learning opportunities for youth and adults with disabilities to successfully transition from high school to adulthood. Booster sessions provide information on the transition to adult life for youth with disabilities. Families, individuals with disabilities, and professionals are invited to attend at no cost.
In the virtual Transition Booster session, Driving with a Disability, we will cover topics such as:
- How do I know if my teen or young adult is ready to drive?
- What can we work on at home to prepare for learning to drive?
- How do I know if it is safe for my loved one to drive with their disability?
- What can we expect during a driving assessment?
- Who do I contact for an assessment?
