Event Description
Join Summit DD and Akron Public Schools (APS) for a transition resource event on Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to Noon at House Three-Thirty in Akron (532 W Market St.).
The Special Education Transition Resource Fair will include a variety of local providers and resources for families to learn more about post-high school options for independent living, employment, education, and social & recreational programs, as well as a featured speaker.

The event is free and open to all APS special education students and their families. Registration is available at the event beginning at 9 a.m. From 9-11 a.m. we will host the Transition Resource Fair where families can meet providers, ask questions, and learn about local resources. At 11:15, our featured speaker, Rebecca Delaney, will share her family’s personal experience of navigating the transition from school to adulthood.
